At Michael & Son, our mission has always been to be more than a home service company, but a part of the community. We’ve been serving the region for almost 40 years and every day we get children and parents who come up to us and sing our jingle, “If you can’t we can, Michael & Son!”. That inspired us to start our Michael & Son Jingle Sing-Off Contest.

Beginning in 2014, Michael & Son's Jingle Contest has celebrated the creativity of regional schools, challenging them to create unique versions of our jingle. Last year alone, we received 30 outstanding submissions and distribued a total of $50,000 in prize money. We're thrilled to uphold this tradition and eagerly anticipate experiencing your school's rendition of our jingle!

Before you hit record, look through our filming tips and resources

When your incredible jingle is ready, submit it by the deadline to be in the running for the $5,000 prize.

Develop Your Idea: Get your team together and brainstorm ideas for a MICHAEL & SON SERVICES Jingle video to air. Think outside the box!

Create Your Jingle: Make it something you’ve never seen before. It’s up to you. Just make it awesome.

Content Guidelines: Videos should be appropriate for a school audience and align with the contest theme. No offensive or inappropriate content will be accepted.

Entry Deadline: Schools must submit their entry form by March 30th, 2024 in order to be eligible for the contest.

Submission Deadline: Please make sure to submit your video by April 22nd, 2024!

Winners Announced: Voting ends on April 29th, 2024. Winners will be announced shortly thereafter.

Checks Presented: Checks will be presented to winning schools starting May 6th, 2024

Permission Slip

 Use the provided permission slip to secure written consent from parents or guardians of all featured students. Please keep these documents on hand, as they may be required for verification.

Jingle Audio

The Jingle that started it all! We recommend downloading this audio so that you and your students can use it as a referene when creating your video.

Length

Videos must be 60 seconds or less. Entries longer than 60s will not be considered.

Format

Videos must be filmed vertically (see graphics) to optimize for social media.

Editing

You are welcome to use basic video editing tools to enhance the quality of your submission.

Lighting and Sound Quality

Please make sure that your video is well lit and that the audio is clear.

👩‍⚖️The winners will be determined by cumulative engagement (likes, comments, and shares) across Instagram and Youtube.

👩‍⚖️Voting will conclude and winners will be announced on April 29th. All decisions are final. 

Reminder: Video Submissions are due on April 22nd, 2024. We will post each schools' entry on Instagram and Youtube.
